Congressman Duncan Hunter To Campaign For Breazeale
Mar. 10, 2010 - 10:42am
Breazeale for Congress is pleased to announce California Congressman Duncan Hunter will spend two days in District 7 campaigning for Will Breazeale on the 20th and 21st of March. Captain Hunter, United States Marine Corps Reserve, will appear at a host of fundraisers with Breazeale, as well as at the Brunswick County GOP Convention.
“It’s really an honor to have Congressman Hunter throw his unwavering support behind Will,” said campaign Finance Director Kathryn Johnston. “The big names are lining up for us because they know Will is the best candidate to take down Mike McIntyre this November.”
Breazeale’s relationship with Congressman Hunter dates back to 2008 when Breazeale served as a National Delegate to the Republican Party at the Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota Convention. Both men are Iraq War veterans and instantly formed a strong bond. The two have kept in close contact over the past two years, and recently appeared together at a Combat Vets For Congress fundraiser in Malibu, CA.
“Veterans judge each other by a very strict code. No one scrutinizes a soldier more than a fellow veteran. For Congressman Hunter, a Marine, to back Major Breazeale, says a lot about Will’s honor,” observed Veterans Coordinator Jack Stanton.
A full itinerary of Congressman Hunter’s appearances will be made available in the coming days. For more information on Breazeale for Congress, check out their website at www.awilltowin.net.
Staff Reaches Out To Veterans
Mar. 2, 2010 - 1:27pm
Jack Stanton, Veterans Coordinator for Breazeale For Congress will be delivering the featured address tonight in Duplin County. Stanton, a former guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier will speak in front of veterans at American Legion Post #41 in Wallace, NC. He will discuss the decorated military career of Will Breazeale, candidate for U.S. Congress, as well as discuss the Republican’s views on key issues.
“It’s always an honor to be able to spend time with my fellow veterans,” said Stanton. “To be able to do so while talking about the credentials of an honorable soldier like Major Breazeale makes the evening twice as enjoyable.”
Stanton is part of a cast of volunteers who will appear on Breazeale’s behalf over the next two weeks. Breazeale is unable to participate in campaign activities until March 13th as he completes his mandatory Army Reserve duty in Carlisle Barracks, PA.
“Will Breazeale is a pretty easy guy to talk about. Whether it’s his three tours of duty, winning the Bronze Star, or his intense involvement in high level negotiations that are helping us secure victory in Iraq, the Major is a treasure chest of accomplishments,” observed Stanton.

Breazeale Continues Service To Country
Feb. 26, 2010 - 5:42am
Although Election Day is just over two months away, for Will Breazeale, candidate for United States Congress, country still comes first. Starting Saturday, Breazeale will fulfill his annual active duty obligation to the United States Army Reserve by serving for two weeks in a full time status. The decorated Iraq War veteran will proudly report to the United States Army War College in Carlisle Barracks, PA where his mission is to serve on a staff in charge of training future U.S. Army Generals.
“The duty was scheduled months ago when there were no announced candidates in the primary. Even though this date comes less than 60 days before the election, I relish the commitment to my country and look forward to continuing the campaign in two weeks,” commented Breazeale.
Breazeale will return to the campaign trail on March 13th where will attend the Duplin County GOP Convention in Kenansville. Despite his absence due to service of country, 7th District residents will still see a strong Breazeale presence, as a plethora of campaign staff and volunteers have lined up to speak on his behalf at various events.
“When our team found out I was leaving, I had more volunteers to fill in than I knew what to do with. It’s a great problem to have, being with so many people that are so fired up about our victory in 2010. I’ve been faithfully serving my country for 20 years now. To continue that obligation is something that is very important to me.”

Celebrities Fundraise For Breazeale
Feb. 25, 2010 - 7:39am
Will Breazeale, candidate for United States Congress, is headed to California for a fundraising event that will feature some familiar Hollywood names. Breazeale will spend the evening in Malibu, to attend the “Gala Event” hosted by the Political Action Committee, Combat Vets For Congress.
The event includes a dinner and reception with many stars of stage and screen. Most notably in attendance will be Alex Trebek, longtime host of the popular game show Jeopardy. He will be joined by singer and actress Connie Stevens, best known for her USO appearances with Bob Hope and her Billboard hit Sixteen Reasons. Also in attendance will be Dick Van Patten, star of the late 70’s sitcom Eight Is Enough.
“It’s such an honor to be embraced by my fellow brothers in arms,” observed Breazeale. “To be endorsed by Combat Vets For Congress, and be welcomed to spend the evening with so many kind, conservative celebrities is very exciting.”
Also attending the event will be Robert Conrad, famous for his starring role on the television show Wild, Wild, West, Jack Scalia of Dallas and Remington Steele, Buzz Aldrin, pilot of the first lunar landing in history, and the Hon. Barry M. Goldwater, a former U.S. Congressman.
“You look at the names on the list and it is hard not to be excited. So many very talented and very patriotic Americans in one room is pretty overwhelming. For them to acknowledge and embrace my service to my country is very moving,” Breazeale said.
The three time Iraq War veteran joins 21 of his fellow veterans, including Congressman Duncan Hunter of California for an evening with the stars. The event will raise money for fiscally conservative combat veterans that have been endorsed by Combat Vets For Congress. Their mission statement reads in part:
The Combat Veterans For Congress PAC is dedicated to supporting the election of fiscally conservative Combat Veterans to Congress. We seek Combat Veterans running for Congress who believe in limited government, will rein in the out of control spending of Congress, are committed to preserving and defending the U.S. Constitution, and will support the independence and freedom of the individual as outlined in the Bill of Rights.

AFP Applauds Breazeale
Feb. 24, 2010 - 6:21am
Will Breazeale, candidate for United States Congress has won applause from one of North Carolina's biggest free market groups. In an email sent to members from across the state, the Americans For Prosperity has recognized Breazeale for his signing of the "No Climate Tax" pledge. Breazeale took the pledge last week, a day before appearing before the group in Wilmington. AFP wrote:
"The North Carolina chapter of the grassroots free market group Americans for Prosperity (AFP-NC) today applauded U.S. House candidate William Breazeale (7th District) for signing the group's No Climate Tax pledge. Breazeale joins more than 365 lawmakers and candidates on the federal, state and local levels pledging to "oppose legislation relating to climate change that includes a net increase in government revenue."
Breazeale spoke to the group on February 18. He covered his views on a variety of issues, from the "No Climate Tax" pledge, to his support of the Fair Tax, to Property Rights. Breazeale was also able to tout the endorsement of AFP favorite Chad Adams.
"I was honored to speak in front of the good folks at Americans For Prosperity and was proud to sign their pledge," observed Breazeale. "The key to getting America back on track is getting power out of the hands of government and back into the hands of the citizens. Few understand that like AFP."
"The one thing elected officials should be able to agree on is that global warming shouldn't be used as an excuse to hike taxes on citizens and businesses," stated AFP-NC State Director Dallas Woodhouse. "We encourage all of North Carolina's elected officials and candidates for elected office to sign the pledge."

Breazeale Signs “No Climate Tax” Pledge
Feb. 18, 2010 - 11:21am
Once again, Will Breazeale is standing up for the taxpayers of District 7. On Thursday, the man most famous for saving Americans more than 40 million dollars as a soldier in Iraq, signed a “No Climate Tax” Pledge. The pledge, which was co-sponsored by the Americans For Prosperity and the National Taxpayers Union pledges to never endorse an Energy Reform Bill that raises taxes.
“I am so proud to once again have the back of the taxpayers of District 7,” observed Breazeale. “As it sits now, Climate Change and Energy Reform are little more than catalysts to raise people’s taxes. I’m proud to say this deceptive theft by the U.S. Government will never be supported by me as a representative.”
Breazeale signs the pledge the same day he is scheduled to speak in front of the Wilmington Chapter of the Americans For Prosperity. Breazeale will appear along side State Representative Danny McComas. McComas and Breazeale also appeared together during a health care town hall late last summer. Tonight in front of the AFP the two will discuss an issue vital to both men: Wrestling power away from government and returning it to ordinary citizens.
“When it comes to standing up for the taxpayers, Danny McComas is a warrior. He’s a man who understands people move this country, not government officials. I’m proud to appear with him tonight in front of the good folks at AFP, and discuss how to get the country back into the hands of the people.”

Adams Headlines Breazeale Endorsements
Feb. 16, 2010 - 6:29am
Endorsements continue to roll in for Will Breazeale, candidate for United States Congress in North Carolina’s 7th Congressional District. Over the past week, the three-time Iraq War veteran has shown his campaign’s nation-wide appeal, scoring endorsements from across the country.
Headlining the list of those throwing their support behind the Bronze Star Medal recipient Breazeale, is Chad Adams. For years, Adams was best known as the Vice-President at the John Locke Foundation, a Raleigh based think tank that is much admired amongst Republicans. Adams also gained state-wide attention last summer for his bid to head the NC-GOP. Adams ultimately lost the Chairmanship by a razor thin margin to Tom Fetzer. The darling of many conservatives across the state, Adams was groundbreaking in his grassroots campaign and use of technology during his run.
“The 7th District is lucky to have a strong, conservative candidate like Will Breazeale. It is my honor to endorse him for Congress. It has been an honor getting to know Will over the past few years. He is steadfast in his conservative beliefs, a tireless worker and strong family man,” commented Adams. “He will take the fight for lower taxes, limited government and the desire to create jobs in the free market to Washington with passion. I'm hopeful that citizens throughout the 7th District will join me in supporting Will.”
Joining Adams in their support for the Breazeale Campaign is California health care expert Dennis Wolfe. Wolfe made national headlines in the 1990s with his groundbreaking book, “The Sick Solution.” Wolfe became fond of Breazeale’s run in part because of Will’s revolutionary idea for healthcare reform, better known as the “Fair Health Plan.” Wolfe was instrumental this summer in beating back Nancy Pelosi’s plan to overhaul the medical system, making daily radio appearances across the country as well as appearing at numerous town-halls in the western part of the United States.
“I have been following Mr. Breazeale’s campaign and it is very clear that his approach to the process of seeking this very high office is refreshing and innovative to say the least. His simple approach to health care cost protection is a novel idea and deserves discussions with open forums,” observed Wolfe.
“The will of the people is the most important component of our free society because it defines us as The Republic that we are. Will’s work to win for the citizens of his district is more than impressive. It is a blue print that all candidates all across America need to follow. I am indeed very honored to endorse Will Breazeale for Congress. May God Bless you, your campaign, and the people whom you seek to represent.”
Also throwing their name behind Breazeale was the Political Action Committee “Citizens Opposing Incumbency.” Better known as “COI-PAC” the group exists to eliminate the career politician. Their goal is to force candidates to commit to a set number of years in public office. Breazeale caught the eye of “COI-PAC” when he became the first man in the nation to sign a “Bonded Term Limit Pledge.” In the pledge, Breazeale bonded $250,000 of personal wealth to ensure he would seek no more than three terms in office.
“Will Breazeale exemplifies the commitment to honest and earnest public service. Not only has Will pledged to COI-PAC to seek no more than six years in the 7th District seat, he has become the first ‘Bonded Term Limit Pledge’ maker in NC,” praised COI-PAC Executive Director Jeff Monks.
For Breazeale, the endorsements were both humbling and satisfying. “When people are willing to put their names behind yours, it shows you are striking a nerve. It shows that your campaign, your message, has real substance and meaning. I’m honored that men like Chad Adams and Dennis Wolfe, and the brave folks at COI-PAC are standing with me for victory in 2010.”

McIntyre Flip-Flops On “Pay-Go”
Feb. 15, 2010 - 7:27am
Congressman Mike McIntyre is now backing out of bills that he helped create. Will Breazeale, Republican Candidate for United States Congress in North Carolina’s 7th Congressional District took the Democrat to task Monday morning over an election year stunt, designed to cast himself as a fiscal conservative ahead of the November elections. Earlier this month McIntyre flip-flopped, voting against the deficit reduction program known as “Pay-Go.” This was in stark contrast to McIntyre’s “Yea” vote on the issue just seven months earlier. A bill that McIntyre boldly co-sponsored at the time.
“Suddenly Mike McIntyre has found sympathy for the U.S. Taxpayer,” observed Breazeale. “It is amazing how much respect our politicians develop for their constituency right before they have to face them at the ballot box.”
Under Bill H R 2920 (Pay-As-You-Go Act of 2009) the government would have been required to pay for all of its wasteful spending. This is done either through cuts to other programs or tax increases. In the opinion of Breazeale, a Bronze Star Medal recipient for his bravery on the battlefields of Iraq, the government intended to pay for the program with only one option: Tax increases on the middle class.
“The Pelosi-McIntyre Congress has lived trillions of dollars beyond their means. I highly doubt they suddenly were going to pay for programs by slashing spending elsewhere. There is no way for Congressman McIntyre to deny that when he felt safe, he voted to stick it to District 7 Taxpayers by raising their taxes.“
On February 4, the Democrat McIntyre did a complete turn about, voting no on the bill. He joined all Republicans and 14 other vulnerable Democrats in the process. The bill ultimately passed the House 233-187. To Breazeale, the vote was nothing more than an election year ploy that will be seen through by District 7 voters this Fall.
“In 2009, not only did Mike McIntyre vote to steal more of District 7’s hard earned money to pay for Cap and Trade, Healthcare Reform, and the Stimulus Package, but he was proud enough of it to list his name as a co-sponsor” Breazeale observed. “I publicly call on Congressman McIntyre to explain why he’s now voting against a bill that just seven months earlier he was proud enough to put his name behind.”

Will Breazeale Files For Congress
Feb. 12, 2010 - 3:53am
2010 is the year of the citizen. On Thursday, the self-described “Citizen’s Representative” went to work, as Major Will Breazeale (USAR), a Bronze Star Medal recipient, officially filed to run for District 7’s U.S. Congressional Seat. The Republican Breazeale is vying to take the seat currently held by Democrat Mike McIntyre this Fall.
“I am overwhelmed at the number of people that have come up to me in the past two months, ready to fight for us. They realize that I will fight for them every day in Washington as hard as I did during my three tours on the battlefield in the Middle East. They are excited about taking our country back this Fall,“ said Breazeale
The day saw Breazeale travel to Raleigh’s State Board of Elections to officially put his name into the race. After registering, Breazeale held a noon press conference outside, where he took questions from the press. Upon his return back to Wilmington, Breazeale was greeted by supporters and staff and fielded more questions from local media.
Following the Wilmington press conference, Breazeale addressed the area‘s anti-incumbent mood. “The citizens have realized that being a nice guy doesn’t make up for 13 percent unemployment in your district. Being a nice guy doesn’t make up for voting with the failed policies of Nancy Pelosi 97 percent of the time. Your congressman being a nice guy doesn’t put a paycheck in your hand or food on your table. People are done with words. They want results.”
For the three-time Iraq War veteran, there is one issue that will define this election: Jobs. Breazeale believes his bold initiative to wrestle control from Washington and permanently eliminate the income tax in favor of the “Fair Tax” will create immediate dividends on Main Street.
“I believe the residents of District 7 know how to spend their own money far better than the career politicians in Washington. Allow people to keep what they’ve earned, and they’ll create an economic boom the likes this country has never seen,” observed Breazeale. “Congressman McIntyre decided government was the better option last year when he voted for the stimulus. Sadly the only thing that got stimulated was our children’s debt to China.”

Breazeale Blocks McIntyre’s Earmark
Feb. 11, 2010 - 6:27am
District 7 Taxpayers were the winners on Wednesday. Early in the morning, Will Breazeale, Republican Candidate for United States Congress fought back against a large earmark from the hands of Democrat Mike McIntyre, and saved the district as much as eight million dollars in the process. The earmark centered around funding for New Hanover County’s Northeast Interceptor and asset management projects.
“For years Congressman McIntyre has acted as though Federal money is not taxpayer money. He seems to think money that comes from Washington is Monopoly money and he is Rich Uncle Pennybags,” observed Breazeale. “2010 is the year it stops. I’m tired of going in debt to China and the Saudis so Mike McIntyre can buy votes.”
The three-time Iraq War veteran stood with members of the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority in New Hanover County to block the earmark, which could have resulted in spending over eight million dollars. According to Breazeale, the project, which would have funded an asset management system and a connector system for water, is a worthy project, but it should be funded by the residents of New Hanover County, not the rest of District 7.
“If New Hanover County wants this project, then great, but their residents need to fund it themselves. Not Pender County, or Brunswick County, or Sampson County,” Breazeale stated. “For thirteen years Mike McIntyre has perfected the same tired parlor tricks with taxpayer money. I am so proud of the Public Utility Authority for saying they’ve had enough.”
Breazeale covers the entire event in more detail in his weekly radio address, which can be found on his website at http://www.awilltowin.net/podcasts.htm.

McIntyre Publicly Embraces Pelosi
Feb. 9, 2010 - 7:46am
For years, North Carolina’s District 7 Congressman, Democrat Mike McIntyre has attempted to publicly distance himself from Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. This despite voting twice for the San Francisco liberal to ascend to her position of third in line for the White House. However, over the past several months, the Democrat appears to not only be embracing their relationship, he’s touting it in big bold letters. In a recent letter to constituents in regards to healthcare reform, McIntyre lists himself as “MAJORITY LEADER’S ADVISORY COUNCIL - SENIOR WHIP.”
The claim appears to suggest a close bond with McIntyre and Steny Hoyer, the Democrat’s Leader in the House and number two to Pelosi. This has left many citizens concerned and seeking answers. McIntyre regularly touts his “Blue Dog” credentials, a moderate Democrat that is willing to break with his party’s ranks. But the description seems to indicate he is not only in lock-step with the leadership, he is part of the team calling the shots.
“People have been calling our campaign in recent days saying, ‘What does this all mean?’” said Will Breazeale, McIntyre’s Republican opponent. “I’ve been telling them it’s simple: For 14 months we all thought the country was being run by crazy Socialists. It turns out Hoyer and Pelosi were just getting bad advice from Mike McIntyre.”
McIntyre’s public embrace of the Obama-Pelosi Agenda is odd, but it is not where the story ends. Research has provided no evidence as to what the position of Senior Whip actually does. Making it strange for a politician to publicly reverse course over a position in which few know its power.
“Given that Congressman McIntyre represents counties that have some of the highest unemployment in the country, it wouldn’t surprise me a bit that he is a senior advisor to the trillions of dollars of debt and four million lost jobs of the past 14 months,” observed Breazeale, a three-time Iraq War veteran. “The other option is he’s just a guy that likes to make up titles on paper to try to impress people. Either way, I guess he’s got some explaining to do.”
Breazeale is publicly calling on the Democrat to provide clarification. “I want to know what this post is and what his responsibilities are on it. 2010 is the year of the citizen. I am the Citizen’s Representative. And for the first time in his legislative career, Mike McIntyre will be honest with the citizens.”

Landslide Victory For Breazeale In Cumberland Straw Poll
Feb. 7, 2010 - 3:13pm
Voters from across North Carolina’s 7th District stood behind Will Breazeale on Saturday afternoon. In the first bellwether of the 2010 Primary Season, participants at the Cumberland County Ronald Reagan Republican Roundup Straw Poll handed the three-time Iraq War veteran an impressive 60 percent of the vote. The total nearly doubled the closest competitor. Finishing a distant second was Ilario Pantano with 33 percent of the vote and in third was Tim Wilkes with seven percent.
“We are very humbled that so many voters are firmly and enthusiastically standing with us,” observed Breazeale. “To win with such impressive numbers shows the residents of District 7 are serious about a Republican victory in 2010, and they are serious about doing it with the name Breazeale on the ticket.”
It was the first time voters had a chance to speak on the much anticipated contest between the Bronze Star Medal recipient Breazeale, and Pantano, who had recently registered as a Republican in November. In a head-to-head match-up, Breazeale won 64-36 percent.
“This campaign is just getting started. There is still a ton of work that lies ahead. While I am incredibly honored by the voice of the voters today, this is just one small step in our campaign. We have to work every day for the votes of not just Republicans, but Independents and Democrats alike,” Breazeale stated.
The day also featured a Presidential Straw Poll that saw former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin prove victorious. The event was headlined by two of the state’s best know Republicans: Senator Richard Burr and 2008 Nominee For Governor, Pat McCrory.
The day’s events can now be view in photos on Breazeale’s website at:

McIntyre Staff Denies Entry As Breazeale Reveals His Dirty Donors
Feb. 4, 2010 - 7:26pm
On Thursday, Will Breazeale, candidate for United States Congress in North Carolina’s 7th Congressional District, took to the streets of Wilmington to read the list of corrupt donors to Democrat Mike McIntyre. In front of McIntyre’s office at 201 North Front Street, the three-time Iraq War veteran boldly read from a list of donors with connections to corruption or who had been convicted of crimes. All had given money to McIntyre.
“The problem with Washington is that our elected officials are more interested in cash than integrity,” Breazeale stated. “You would think with Congressman McIntyre taking money from every special interest group under the sun, he wouldn’t need money from convicted felons. But I guess in the world of Washington Establishment, it all spends the same.”
Revealing the names of the corrupt donors was just a warm up act for Breazeale, the self-described “Citizen’s Representative.” After taking questions from the media, he proceeded to deliver the list to the Democrat Congressman in person.
“Given that he is so busy raising questionable funds, I wasn’t sure if Congressman McIntyre has time to watch the news or read the paper,” Breazeale quipped. “So in case he missed coverage of our press conference, I wanted to make sure he received the list.”
Breazeale then went on foot to McIntyre’s fourth-floor office to present the list. At which time Tony McEwen, Economic Development Director of McIntyre’s Wilmington Office, refused to accept the letter. Explaining that he was presenting the letter as a private citizen, Breazeale was shocked that his staff would not want to know about the dirty money.
“They ordered me to send it to Lumberton. It is no wonder nothing gets done in Washington. When you can’t even get a staffer to pass a message along to his boss that citizens don’t like him taking money from felons, how could you possibly expect anything big to get done?” Breazeale observed.
Breazeale informed the press that he would be sending the information via certified letter to Lumberton on Monday.

Endorsements Flood In For Breazeale
Feb. 4, 2010 - 8:43am
Will Breazeale is proud to announce a laundry list of new endorsements for his 2010 campaign for the United States House of Representatives. In recent weeks, a host of high profile organizations and individuals have chosen to stand with Breazeale, a three-time Iraq War veteran.
“It is an honor to have so many high-profile Republicans, Conservatives, and great Americans standing behind my campaign,” said Breazeale. “Anytime someone is willing to publicly stand with you, be they celebrity or ordinary citizen, it means so very much.”
The list of high profile endorsements include 2008 North Carolina Republican Nominee for Governor, Pat McCrory. The former Mayor of Charlotte headlined a day of fundraising for Breazeale last week. Also on the list are Congressman Duncan Hunter of California and Congressman John Linder of Georgia, who is best known as the co-author of “The Fair Tax Book” along with talk-show host Neal Boortz.
“When people who know how to win big-time elections believe in you, it shows how much momentum our campaign has,” stated the three-time Iraq War veteran. “Endorsements are someone sticking their reputation behind you, so they are very important.”
Also joining the Breazeale endorsement bandwagon are several well known PACs. These include Iraq Vets For Congress, Combat Vets For Congress, and Vets For Freedom. They are joined by Deborah Johns, National Vice-Chair of the Tea Party Express. For the veteran Breazeale, having his fellow soldiers’ support is moving.
“When you risk your life for your country, you develop a deep-seeded bond with your brothers you serve with. For them to in-turn throw their arms around you and embrace your campaign is quite moving,” observed Breazeale. “My main goal over there was to make sure that every one of my fellow soldiers, and every wonderful Iraqi-citizen that stood beside us, got out alive.”
Breazeale now features an “Endorsements” page on his website which can be viewed at http://www.awilltowin.net/endorsements.htm.

Breazeale To McIntyre: Give Back Dirty Money
Feb. 1, 2010 - 2:21am
On Monday, Will Breazeale, candidate for United States Congress in North Carolina’s 7th Congressional District, urged incumbent Congressman Mike McIntyre to return more than $13,000 in monies received from tainted donors.
“You are the friends you keep and the money you receive,” commented the three-time Iraq War veteran of his opponent. "It is a sad day when a current U.S. Congressman accepts legalized bribes from so many unsavory characters and remains silent. On behalf of the people of District 7, I demand Representative McIntyre return this $13,375 of questionable money to the donors.”
The money donated to the Democrat includes a laundry list of people under investigation or convicted of crimes. This includes receiving $4,000 from Lanny Wilson of Wilmington. Wilson resigned from the North Carolina Department of Transportation Board because of his association with the Mike Easley’s "Pay To Play” scandal. Also on the list of questionable donors was Ron Taylor of Elizabethtown. Taylor was convicted of taking bribes while serving as a State Legislator in Bladen County.
“Washington has lost the faith of our country, and donations like the ones Congressman McIntyre has received are the reason why. For years his donations have gone unquestioned. Not anymore. 2010 is the year of the Citizen and I am the Citizen’s Representative. If the Congressman wants to accept questionable funds, he is going to have to explain why.”
The complete list of funds Breazeale has called on McIntyre to return are listed below:
$4,000 from Lanny Wilson of Wilmington: He resigned from the North Carolina Department of Transportation Board because of his association with the Mike Easley "Pay To Play” scandal.
$2,000 from Linda Wilson of Wilmington: She is a relative of Lanny Wilson.
$4,000 from Nick Garrett of Wilmington: Garrett is a business partner of Lanny Wilson and linked to Easley’s "Pay To Play” scandal.
$3,000 from Mac Campbell of Elizabethtown: He resigned from the North Carolina Department of Transportation Board and is the father of McQueen Campbell who was forced to resign from the NC State Board of Trustees for his connection to Mike Easley’s unreported flights and the Mary Easley scandal.
$375 from Ron Taylor of Elizabethtown: A convicted felon. He was convicted of taking bribes while serving as a State Legislator from Bladen County.

Breazeale Responds To State Of The Union
Jan. 29, 2010 - 11:43pm
Will Breazeale, candidate for United States Congress in North Carolina’s 7th Congressional District, took the President to task for what he deemed an “instigating” State of the Union speech Wednesday night.
“The speech was filled with a bulk of lies, half truths, and vague assertions,” observed Breazeale. “What is worse is that he repeatedly attempted to try to play class warfare, pitting ordinary Americans against each other.”
The three-time Iraq War veteran took issue with numerous times where he felt President Obama was more interested in “getting even” than improving the country. In particular, Breazeale felt Obama was pandering to populist anger at banks and Wall Street without providing solutions to the problems.
“It is as though his solution is to make others hate Wall Street as much as he does. He seems to think if residents on Main Street hate those working on Wall Street, problem solved,” Breazeale observed. “Americans, whether they be on Main Street or Wall Street are all in this problem together. Together we will get out of it.”
Breazeale went on to add that he felt the President was especially disingenuous, given the amount of money he has doled out to banks. “President Obama fed their coffers. He and his fellow Democrats in Congress gave them all that money. For him to now criticize what he helped put in motion is completely ridiculous. It is the sign of a man who has run out of options and has turned to pathetic class warfare as a last resort.”

Breazeale To Participate In Martin Luther King Day Celebrations
Jan. 14, 2010 - 12:08pm
Will Breazeale, Candidate for United States Congress, plans a busy day in celebration of the birth of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. In what would have been King’s 81st birthday, the three-time Iraq War veteran will spend the day participating in festivities and attempting to better the ties of race relations in District 7.
Breazeale will begin the day at a celebratory Martin Luther King Jr. Roundtable Breakfast in Brunswick County, where he will talk with constituents about issues and obstacles that still exist with race relations. From there he will head to Bladen County, participating in a parade in Elizabethtown. Immediately following the parade, he will head to First Presbyterian Church where he will serve on a panel for the Roundtable Race Relations Forum.
“Dr. King’s dream was that everyone have an equal opportunity to succeed, regardless of their skin color. He believed everyone had the right to be whatever they wanted to be if they were willing to put the work in to get there,” observed Breazeale. “I look forward to listening and learning from our African American leaders throughout the day on progress that has been made and steps that still need to be taken.”

Breazeale Backs Military Court For Suspected Terrorists
Jan. 8, 2010 - 2:20pm
Will Breazeale, Candidate for United States Congress backed a letter by 20 GOP Senators to President Obama, urging him to rethink his strategy for the War on Terror. Mainly, the letter related to the prosecution of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, who attempted to blow up a flight bound for Detroit on Christmas Day. The letter urges the President to place the suspected terrorist in a military court, as opposed to civilian court.
“This man was an agent of Al Qaeda. He admits it. He is an enemy combatant,” said Breazeale. “To give him the same rights as United States citizens is completely the wrong way to go about prosecution.”
The three time Iraq veteran stated he would prefer to see suspected terrorists prosecuted in military tribunals. Breazeale feels civilian court trials not only give suspected terrorists too many rights, but also potentially put intelligence officials in danger.
“Too many people, risk too much, to have their identities and sources revealed in federal court. Prosecuting these people in civilian court is making us less safe and endangering the lives of our intelligence officials.”

High Profile Counsel Joins Breazeale Campaign
January 7, 2010 - 12:17pm
Preparing for what promises to be a very competitive election this Fall, Will Breazeale, Candidate for US Congress, has enlisted the help of high powered Republican attorney Duke Lineberry. The Wilmington based Lineberry has been on the front lines for years, helping Republicans.
“Duke is a fighter. He’s a bulldog and a competitor. He cares deeply about his country and we are pleased to have him on board,” said Breazeale. The three-time Iraq War Veteran added, “We know my opponent has no trouble getting dirty and spreading lies. We have to be prepared to meet any and all challenges. It’s unfortunate, but when you are dealing with a member of the Washington Machine, you have to take all precautions. Duke will make sure he plays fair”

Breazeale Backs C-Span On Exposing Healthcare Secrecy
January 5, 2010 - 11:45am
In the hopes of producing a more honest and open government, Will Breazeale, Candidate for US Congress has sided with C-Span in the networks quest to cover all aspects of the healthcare debate between the House and Senate.
On Dec 30, C-Span CEO Brian Lamb wrote a letter to leaders of the House and Senate in which he urged "all important negotiations, including any conference committee meetings," to receive televised coverage on his network.
Breazeale agreed, stating that open and honest government is essential to good policy. “Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid owe it to the American People. If they are going to take over one-sixth of the economy, they should at least have the dignity to do it in broad daylight.”
The three time Iraq War veteran backed C-Span’s push for total coverage. “This is the issue of a generation. Every moment of every debate should be covered. Out of the shadows and into the sunshine.”
Breazeale also questioned the leadership of his opponent, incumbent Congressman Mike McIntyre. “Where is the Congressman on this?” He questioned. “He has voted for Pelosi as Speaker of the House not once, but twice. That coupled with his complete silence on this issue leaves one to believe they are lock step on her quest for secrecy.”

Breazeale Issues Debate Challenge To Incumbent
January 2, 2010 - 2:43pm
Will Breazeale, Candidate for United State Congress, began the new year with a bang, challenging his incumbent opponent to discuss the issues. In a statement release, Breazeale challenged Representative Mike McIntyre to a series of debates throughout the year.
“My opponent owes it not only to the voters of District 7, but to tax payers across the country to debate me. His duck and cover approach will not work in 2010. He must hold himself accountable for his voting record. The best way to do this is a series of debates with myself across the District.”
The three time Iraq Veteran stated that he would meet his opponent any time, any where. “The Congressman can name the time, he can name the place. We will be there. We look forward to a lively series of discussions about his voting record that has seen the standard of living of the district decline every year he has been in office.”
A formal letter will be sent to the Congressman in the coming days, extending the invitation.

Breazeale Wraps Up Busy Christmas Campaign Season
December 23 , 2009 - 9:45am
Will Breazeale, Candidate for US Congress spent the Christmas Season reaching out to voters across District 7. During the month of December, the three time Iraq War Veteran participated in Christmas Parades from one end of the district to the next.
For Breazeale, the chance to meet voters face to face was a valuable learning experience. “It was a real treat to spend the Christmas Season traveling to many of District 7’s wonderful towns. Getting a chance to shake the hands and converse face to face with the people that make America run was truly an honor. It’s always a pleasure to hear directly from the mouths of people that make America work.“
The parade season started for Breazeale on December 4, in Carolina Beach and lasted nine days, spanning six stops in five counties, ending in Beulaville on December 12. For Will, the message from voters was clear. “People want genuine change in Washington. They want people that care about them, their families, and the troubles they face. As my opponent sits on his high perch in Washington, it is obvious he’s not hearing their cries.”
Breazeale looks forward to spending the holidays with his family before beginning regular campaigning again early in January.
