A Letter From Will Breazeale
Thanks so much for taking the time to check out my site. My name is Will Breazeale, and I am asking for the opportunity to become your next Congressman for North Carolina's 7th Congressional District. I hope you take the time to look around and enjoy all the fine audio and visual features the site has to offer, explaining my stances on key issues that will affect our country both in the present and the future. Before you do so, I have taken the time to write a few thoughts down to help guide you as you navigate through the site.
First of all, let me say that this will be the most important election of our lifetime. I know that is an often used cliché, and “mid-term” elections don't normally carry the national implications of those held every four years, but this time that saying is true. Think about our country and how dramatically things have changed in just the past year:
We have seen an unprecedented obsession by those in Washington of not only securing their power over you, but also expanding it. In 12 months, the "Powers That Be" have sent a clear message that they know better how to manage your life than do you. They have fired bold warning shots of what is to come if they are not stopped in November 2010: More government interference, regulations and restrictions on growth and liberty, a plethora of new taxes, and a general disdain for the American way of life that has brought us unmatched prosperity for 235 years.
That is the bad news. The good news is that WE STILL HAVE THE POWER TO STOP IT! The great thing about America is that we don't need guns, wars, and violence to change the political landscape. The only revolution we need lead is at the ballot box. This Fall, I hope to be at the forefront of changing how residents feel about not only North Carolina, but our nation as a whole.
For three decades I have been putting my money where my mouth is, fighting for the things that make this country great. Serving in both Iraq wars, the freedom and prosperity of those back home have been the most important principles to guide my life. Without them, our country is no different than all the rest. And I know as well as you do, that we are definitely different than all the rest.
Please take the time to look around the site and enjoy yourself. Check back often for our regular updates of places we've been, the amazing people we've met, and the tough issues we are willing to tackle. I hope you will consider joining the campaign in some capacity. Whether it is volunteering your time or making a small monetary donation, I trust you will do what is right to help us return America to its founding ideals in 2010: Freedom, Peace, and Prosperity.
Thanks for your time and I look forward to seeing you on the campaign trail!
Will Breazeale
